The 2024 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon will kick off on 13 October, with enthusiastic riders from around the world speeding through the cityscape of Hong Kong.

Push yourself to the limit as you zoom past iconic landmarks in the city on a 32 km or 50 km ride. The finish line for the 32 km Ride and 50 km Ride will be moved to West Kowloon for the first time, and there will be a sports carnival in the Wonderland to offer participants a space for relaxation and entertainment. Meanwhile, families can enjoy leisure cycling in East Tsim Sha Tsui. Local and Greater Bay Area riders will also vie for glory in the Open Races against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour. So, gear up and join in on the action-packed event!

All registrants of the 50 km Ride and 32 km Ride are required to attend a cycling technique assessment. Exemption will be granted to:

  1. participants who passed the Cycling Technique Assessment of the 2023 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon;
  2. finishers of the 50 km Ride or 30 km Ride of the 2022 or 2023 Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon;
  3. participants who have completed road races organised by the Cycling Association of Hong Kong, China (CAHK) between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024;
  4. participants who have completed road races organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024; or
  5. experienced cyclists who have completed other eligible cycling competitions (such as those by any of the National Cycling Federations) or mass road events held between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024.

Whether you are a seasoned professional or simply a cycling enthusiast, the Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon includes a great variety of rides for you to enjoy.

50 km Ride

Open to both professional and experienced amateur cyclists registering as individuals or teams (max. 10 persons per team). This category is a great way to challenge yourself or build team spirit while taking in some of Hong Kong’s iconic sights.

Age limit:
16-70 years old

Registration fee*:
Individual — HK$600
Team — HK$14,500 (including a donation of HK$3,000 to a designated beneficiary)

Route:
The route runs from Tsim Sha Tsui to Tsing Yi via Cheung Tsing Tunnel, heads towards Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge, Nam Wan Tunnel, Stonecutters Bridge, Eagle’s Nest Tunnel and Sha Tin Heights Tunnel before returning to West Kowloon.

* Inclusive of a rider pack, a finisher medal and an e-certificate.

32 km Ride

This scenic route between Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsing Yi is ideal for experienced amateur cyclists.

Age limit:
16–70 years old

Registration fee*:
Individual — HK$280
Team — HK$7,500 (including a donation of HK$1,500 to a designated beneficiary)

Route:
The route runs from Tsim Sha Tsui to Tsing Yi via Cheung Tsing Tunnel, heading towards Ting Kau Bridge, Nam Wan Tunnel and Stonecutters Bridge, before returning to West Kowloon.

Bring your own bike to enjoy cycling along closed roads in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Format and age limit:
One parent/guardian (18–70 years old) and one child (6–17 years old)

Registration fee:
HK$100 (full donation to a designated beneficiary)

A circular route runs along Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

City Cycling Challenge around Greater Bay Area (Hong Kong)— Sun Hung Kai Properties Men’s Open and Women’s Open

Professional local and Greater Bay Area riders will compete for the coveted glory along a racecourse in the heart of Hong Kong.

Criteria:

  1. 2024–25 racing members of the CAHK who have completed a road race organised by CAHK between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024;
  2. 2024–25 racing members of CAHK who have completed a road race organised by the UCI between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024; or
  3. 2024–25 racing members of CAHK who have completed other eligible cycling competitions (such as those by any of the National Cycling Federations) or mass road events held between 1 January 2023 and 1 July 2024.

Age limit:
16–70 years old

Registration fee*:
Men’s Open Race — HK$350
Women’s Open Race — HK$350

Route and number of laps:
The 3.7 km route runs along Hung Hom Bypass and Salisbury Road between Hung Hom and Tsim Sha Tsui East.
Men’s Open Race – eight laps
Women’s Open Race – two laps

CEO Charity and Celebrity Ride

This is a charity race to support a designated beneficiary.

Format and age limit:
Company bosses and celebrities will be invited (18–70 years old)

Registration fee:
HK$15,000 (full donation to a designated beneficiary)

The 1 km route runs along Salisbury Road in Tsim Sha Tsui East (two laps).
