From Friday 28 March to Sunday 30 March, a temporary restricted flying zone (RFZ) will be in place around Kai Tak Stadium during the Hong Kong Sevens. On Sunday 30 March, an additional RFZ will be established in and around Victoria Harbour for a flight demonstration. Please note that flying activities, such as drone and model aircraft, are not allowed in these zones, and unauthorised flying activities are illegal. As the largest international art fair in Hong Kong, Art Basel showcases premier galleries from Asia and beyond, providing an in-depth overview of Asia Pacific’s astonishing diversity, as well as global artistic perspectives through modern and contemporary works.
This year, Art Basel Hong Kong features 240 premier international galleries from 42 countries and territories, presenting artistic practices that reflect the show’s commitment to global diversity and regional representation. Art Basel’s show in Hong Kong is divided into several sectors, including ‘Galleries’, ‘Insights’, ‘Discoveries’, ‘Film’, ‘Encounters’ and ‘Kabinett’. Each sector has a specific focus, from monumental works to historical voices from the Asia-Pacific region.
Beyond the art fair, Art Basel Hong Kong will continue to expand its artistic reach across the city, collaborating with M+ to activate the institution’s striking facade. The artwork will pay tribute to the golden age of Hong Kong cinema, titled Night Charades by Singaporean artist Ho Tzu Nyen.
