The oldest and the most celebrated Tam Kung Temple, located in Shau Kei Wan, hosts one of the signature events of the Eastern District: the Tam Kung Festival, celebrated every year on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month. This year, the festival consists of diverse activities including a variety show, Cantonese opera, a parade with lion and dragon dances, and an international lion dance competition. Additionally, two special activities have been added this year: guided tours and paper crafting workshops, promoting traditional Chinese culture among the public.
