Right in the middle of Hong Kong’s famous Lan Kwai Fong nightlife district, Mainland China artist Nut has created a mural in his signature ceramic-inspired style. The piece depicts a large crane elegantly poised to place flowers into a blue-and-white porcelain vase, lending a touch of refinement to the rowdiness of the bar district. On closer inspection, the blooms are of the bauhinia, the official flower of Hong Kong, while the crane’s careful treatment of the flowers signifies peace and prosperity for the city.
