Increase of duty-free allowance for luggage articles
brought into the Mainland by Mainland residents
travelling from Hong Kong

Effective from 1 July 2024
Duty-free allowance (RMB):
Entering Mainland
from Hong Kong:
increased to 12,000 yuan

Additional allowance of 3,000 yuan for additional duty-free goods purchased at port entry duty-free stores will be retained

Total amount: 15,000 yuan
Eligibility:
Visitors who are Mainland residents aged 18 or above entering the Mainland
from Hong Kong
Applicable ports of entry:
From 1 July From 1 August
Entry through the following land ports:
  • Lo Wu
  • Futian (Lok Ma Chau Spur Line)
  • Shenzhen Bay
  • West Kowloon Station of the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link
  • Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge
