No visit to Sham Shui Po can be complete without a stroll down Apliu Street. The road houses a bustling street market that sells electronic goods and other related paraphernalia. The stalls often stock a wide range of products, but in general, visitors can expect to find mobile phone accessories, audio and electrical cables, batteries, film cameras, alarm clocks, and second-hand devices such as radios and vintage typewriters. Bargain hunters, fans of thrifting, and those looking for more than a hint of nostalgia will enjoy poking around this slightly chaotic street market. If there’s ever a Hong Kong location to whip out your haggling skills, it’s Apliu Street.
