Hong Kong International Airport

Designed by acclaimed British architect Lord Norman Foster, this awesome state-of-the-art structure completed in 1998 was voted one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century by the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association. Located at Chek Lap Kok on Lantau Island, Hong Kong International Airport is linked to the city’s urban areas via an impressive chain of highways, railways and bridges. Hong Kong Island is less than 30 minutes away by the MTR Airport Express train.

You can enjoy an inspiring interactive experience with the photo-friendly multimedia features in Terminal 1 and explore the three zones, including ‘Crystal Elevator’, ‘Waterfall Gardens’ in the non-restricted areas, and ‘Totems of Joy’ at the boarding gates within the restricted area.

*** Some shops and restaurants in HKIA’s terminal building are temporarily closed until further notice. Please see details here. ***
