Chinese New Year special information (28 Jan – 2 Feb 2025)

During Chinese New Year, major sightseeing attractions, in-town and cross-boundary transportation, and border crossings in Hong Kong will have special operating hours and arrangements. Inbound and outbound travellers are advised to take note of the following information to assist in planning their itinerary:

1) Major sightseeing attractions opening hours

Chinese New Year festivities will continue to be celebrated in Hong Kong throughout the Chinese New Year period with plenty of experiences to explore from morning till night. To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout the extended holiday period please plan your itineraries in advance as the opening hours of major attractions may be subject to adjustments during the holidays. 2) Public transportation

To ensure a seamless experience for visiting relatives and friends and engaging in celebration activities during the Chinese New Year period, several public transportations will enhance their services and extend their operating hours. 4) Special traffic and road arrangements for the Chinese New Year Night Parade and Fireworks Display

The main roads in Tsim Sha Tsui will experience high levels of congestion during the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade and Lunar New Year Fireworks Display. Road closure and crowd safety management measures will be implemented by phases and in certain areas. Kindly adhere to the on-site instructions for your safety.
