The 53rd Hong Kong Arts Festival (HKAF) features more than 1,300 outstanding international and local artists in over 125 performances of more than 45 programmes, along with about 350 PLUS, outreach and education events, covering music, musicals, Chinese opera, dance, theatre and multimedia. The festival opens officially with the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna performing the music of Rossini and Mendelssohn, and closes with a performance by the China National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra.
