Assistant Manager, Trade Development (Hotel focused, 2-year Renewable Contract)

Location: Hong Kong

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Support planning, coordination and implementation for setting up cooperation framework with global and local trade partners.
  • Engage HKTB Head Office and Worldwide Offices to explore opportunities and with emerging travel related trade partners.

  • Maintain close communication with Hong Kong and worldwide travel trade partners to solicit their support for HKTB promotional activities, particularly in those regional and global collaboration programmes.

  • Review trade and consumer programmes periodically and provide recommendations on enhancements.

  • Perform clerical duties, handle office procurement and administer documentation.

  • Coordinate with service providers in areas of day-to-day logistics arrangement, pre-and-post event operations.

  • Ensure all hotel procurement and production procedures are cost effective and on par with HKTB’s policies.

  • Provide organizing and execution supports on ad-hoc activities.

  • Provides administrative and project support for Trade Development Team.

  • Undertake any other duties/ special assignments as directed by supervisor.
     

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Degree holder with minimum 6 years’ work experience in tourism-related industries.
  • Good knowledge of travel industry and tourism products in Hong Kong.

  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills, creative and good in negotiation on collaborations.

  • Analytical, attentive to details, self-motivated and able to multitask and work independently with strong sense of responsibility and good analytical skills.

  • Fluency in both spoken and written Chinese and English.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
