HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?
Assist the Senior Manager, Marketing & PR, in managing Public Relations, brand, digital, and social media campaigns in order to drive destination awareness and ultimately visitation.
Help plan, brief & manage agencies to deliver campaigns in line with the Annual Business Plan, KPIs and budgets.
Take ownership of all Public Relations activity and day to day PR agency management across consumer, trade and MICE in line with overall strategy, ensuring a high and healthy ROI.
Develop, establish and sustain effective working relationships with local media to help in promoting Hong Kong as a tourist destination.
Initiate and assist in the management of promotional activities such as media co-op programmes, brand partnerships, media and KOL activities, as well as work closely with the PR agency to establish a robust press trip programme.
Write and/or edit content briefs, press releases, speeches, social media copy, interview Q&As, correspondences and other ad hoc copywriting requirements
Co-manage and coordinate local HKTB events/launches
Work closely with the travel trade team and assist in managing trade co-operative campaigns.
As part of the regional management team, contribute to the development of the annual business plan
Prepare PowerPoint presentations as and when required, such as Business Plan meetings, Campaign Overviews and Tourism Overview.
Prepare and review reports, including but not limited to, Monthly Media Publicity Report, weekly updates monthly reports, annual reports and post campaign analysis.
Manage the DHK NL website translations
Perform administrative functions such as, but not limited to, raising of Purchase Orders, note taking during meetings and following financial procedures
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
At least 8 years work experience in PR and marketing in the UK, preferred
Appropriate tertiary qualifications
Excellent writing and communications skills
Strong network of media contacts
Understanding of the travel and tourism industry
Working knowledge of digital technologies and applications, including media monitoring platforms, Content Management Systems and social media channels.
Strong project management skills to successfully co-ordinate multi-stakeholder campaigns.
An eye for detail and a drive to keep up to date with the latest developments.
An understanding of GDPR compliance & regulations
PR Agency experience in the UK is desirable
Duty travel is required
Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude, used to working across time zones and meeting deadlines.
