Manager, Tourism Product Development (Product Marketing and Partnership) (2-year Renewable Contract)

Location: Hong Kong

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND LEARN?

  • Liaise with and solicit support from various government departments / organisations/ private entities to develop / promote ‘Hong Kong neighbourhood’ tourism products & infrastructures
  • Identify potential event marketing co-op opportunities and partners, cultivate relationships with new partners, manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure mutual success and satisfaction                                                                          
  • Assist in formulating and implementing event marketing co-op/ partnership strategy that aligns with our business goals to support tourism product development
  • Assist in agreement negotiation, work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event launch and achieve business targets
  • Analyze performance of supported events by marketing enhancement, tourism appeal and entitlement to measure the success of partnership initiatives and city events facilitation
  • Evaluate and assess tourism merits of potential events from Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB)  departments and public channels, make recommend on  appropriate marketing and promotion support
  • Support marketing co-op/ partnership/ support and facilitation governance, review and get endorsement of relevant guidelines internally and/or with respective CSTB departments
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance our partnership strategies and city events promotion
  • Coordinate HKTB, CSTB and other 3rd party city event planning, observe and make recommendation to relevant parties

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Communication/ Marketing / Tourism Management or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant event, public relations or marketing experience, preferably in MNC/ events industry
  • Experience in organising, marketing and promoting sizable events
  • Knowledge of the functionality and operation of various government departments/ commercial sectors in the aspects of event tourism is preferred.
  • Strong interest and expertise knowledge in event tourism/ marketing/ partnership
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and able to develop and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to connect dots in complex environment, turn insights into action plan
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals
  • Innovative and resourceful in soliciting and enhancing event partnership and tourism product development
  • Highly proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese
