Lin Heung Tea House is a dim sum restaurant on Wellington Street with a legacy that extends over a century.

Lin Heung Tea House has been serving piping hot dim sum to hungry Hongkongers for over a century. The establishment has closed its doors a few times due to various circumstances, but it has now returned to its full glory and even gained a trendy hand-shaken drink stand on its ground floor. Unlike most tea houses nowadays where waiters take the cooked-to-order dim sum dishes to your table, Lin Heung Tea House does things the old-school way. The servers here wheel around trolleys piled high with bamboo steamers, calling out what’s available. This means you just have to walk up to the trolley and grab what looks good — no need to order ahead of time. Must-try dishes at Lin Heung Tea House include shrimp dumplings, siu mai, and steamed rice rolls served with soy sauce.
