San Hang Yuen, one of the oldest cha chaan tengs in Sham Shui Po, has a second branch that is likewise famed for making beef and scrambled egg sandwiches. While both locations offer this signature dish, San Hang Yuen on Yu Chau Street has gained popularity with their tantalising spicy version, stuffed with fresh beef that’s stir-fried in house-crafted hot sauce. Their menu also offers hearty entrees like tossed noodles in oyster sauce and specialty dishes like beef tongue in black pepper sauce with rice, as well as Swiss-style chicken drumsticks served with rice. Don’t forget to pair your dishes with a cup of silky smooth milk tea or aromatic coffee.
