Jimmy’s Kitchen first opened its doors in 1928 and has recently reopened in Central’s Pedder Building. The new iteration of the historic restaurant has multiple spaces under one roof, which include a dining lounge, a cocktail bar, a crudo bar, main dining rooms and a private dining room. Diners can indulge in Jimmy’s classic dishes with contemporary twists, such as madras curry served with assorted chutneys and rice, chicken supreme ‘kiev’ with garlic herb butter, and beef stroganoff. Complete your meal with the restaurant’s show stopping baked Alaska that’s prepared and flambéed tableside. Be sure to swing by the bar to try one of Jimmy’s signature cocktails, such as Borscht Mary made with grilled vegetable-infused vodka.
