  1. 1. What is the Summer Chill Hong Kong Summer Triple Rewards? What offers are included in the promotion?
    • The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and businesses across the city have come together to present the Summer Triple Rewards promotion, as part of the HKTB’s Summer Chill Hong Kong campaign. The Summer Triple Rewards is a physical card that will provide visitors with access to offers from restaurants, shops (including souvenir shops from major attractions), transportation and sightseeing tours, to enhance their experiences in Hong Kong this summer and allow them to enjoy the best of the city.
    • Starting from 11 July 2024, overnight visitors can collect the Summer Triple Rewards card from designated locations (i.e. hotels and Collection Counters) and enjoy the offers included in this promotion. 
  2. 2. Who is eligible to participate in the Summer Chill Hong Kong Summer Triple Rewards promotion?
    • The promotion is exclusive to non-residents of Hong Kong who are staying overnight for at least one night and visiting Hong Kong for 90 days or less. Eligible participants must use a non-local registered mobile phone number to register and collect the Summer Triple Rewards, with each number allowed to register only once. The promotion and its offers are available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Each overnight visitor (eligible participant) may collect one Summer Triple Rewards card with a non-local registered mobile phone number at the following designated locations.

      Participating hotels
      • The card can be collected at check-in.
      • Participants must have a valid booking record and stay at the hotel upon card collection.

      Collection Counters
      • When collecting the card, the following documents, either in physical or digital format must be presented. Screenshots will not be accepted:
        • booking record of Hong Kong accommodation; or
        • return tickets for your flight, train, bus or ferry.

  3. 3. I have acquired previous promotions from the Hong Kong Tourism Board (for example, Hong Kong Goodies and Hong Kong Night Treats) - can I still get the Summer Triple Rewards?

    Yes.

  4. 4. I am not in Hong Kong yet and do not have the Summer Triple Rewards. Can I register in advance?
    • You may register for an account in advance by clicking the 'Log in/Sign up' icon at the top right corner of the Discover Hong Kong website. However, you must obtain the Summer Triple Rewards card in Hong Kong to gain access to the promotion’s offers.
  5. 5. How long are the Summer Triple Rewards coupons valid for?
    • Unless otherwise stated, the coupons are valid for 7 days from the day of acquisition in ‘My Wallet’. Expired coupons will not be reissued.
    • Please refer to the participating merchants’ terms and conditions and hours of operation when using the coupons.
  6. 6. How many coupons can each registered Summer Triple Rewards account receive?
    • Each registered account may acquire the Summer Triple Rewards once. This includes three coupons in total - one dining coupon, one shopping coupon (including souvenir shops from major attractions) and one sightseeing and transport coupon.
    • Once acquired, the coupons cannot be cancelled or changed.
    • The coupons are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  7. 7. Can I acquire more than one coupon from a certain category? For example, can I get two dining coupons and one shopping coupon instead?

    No, you cannot acquire multiple coupons from the same category. Each Summer Triple Rewards entitles the holder to one coupon from each of the available categories – one dining coupon, one shopping coupon and one sightseeing and transport coupon.

  8. 8. Do I have to obtain all three coupons at the same time, or can I acquire them separately?

    The three coupons can be acquired separately, as long as they are acquired within 7 days of registering for the Summer Triple Rewards.

  9. 9. What are the usage requirements and conditions for the HK$100 shopping or dining coupon?
    • Visitors who spend HK$200 or more at participating merchants are entitled to redeem one HK$100 coupon.
    • Unless otherwise specified in the merchant’s terms and conditions, if multiple registered users hold the same HK$100 coupon for a single merchant, the coupons can be redeemed cumulatively in a single transaction (e.g. spending HK$400 allows the use of two coupons). 
    • When using the coupon, please carefully review and adhere to the merchant’s terms and conditions and operating hours.
  10. 10. Can the Summer Triple Rewards be used alongside other promotions from participating merchants and the Hong Kong Tourism Board?
    • Unless otherwise stated, visitors can use the Summer Triple Rewards in conjunction with other promotions, including other Hong Kong Tourism Board promotions at participating merchants, discounts, on-sale items and cash vouchers.

  11. 11. After successfully acquiring a Summer Triple Rewards coupon, how can I use it at a participating merchant?
    1. Inform the merchant that you would like to redeem the Summer Triple Rewards coupon from the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
    2. Log into your account on the Discover Hong Kong website on your mobile device, and go to the ‘My Wallet’ section.
    3. Under the ‘Available’ tab, select the relevant downloaded coupon, and click ‘Use coupon’.
    4. Scan the QR code provided by the merchant with your mobile device to reveal a confirmation message.
    5. Once the merchant staff has verified the confirmation message, you may redeem the offer.
  12. 12. Can I change a Summer Triple Rewards coupon after adding it to ‘My Wallet’?

    The coupon cannot be changed or cancelled once it has been added to ‘My Wallet’.

  13. 13. Why am I unable to scan the merchant’s QR code using my mobile device?
    • Make sure to grant the website access to the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code.
    • Android device users and Chrome browser users can follow the steps below to authorise camera access:
      • Tap「⋮」at the top right corner of the webpage and select ‘Settings’.
      • Select ‘Website Settings’.
      • Select ‘Camera’.
      • Activate camera function.
      • If the website you are visiting is listed as ‘Blocked’, select ‘Authorise’ to unblock.
      • Return to the original browser tab or window to access ‘My Wallet’; click ‘Use coupon’ to activate the camera and scan the QR code.
    • iPhone users can follow the steps below to authorise camera access:
      • Go to ‘Settings’.
      • Select the browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, etc.) used to access the Discover Hong Kong website.
      • Under ‘Settings for Websites’, select ‘Camera’.
      • Under ‘Allow application to access camera’, select ‘Ask’ or ‘Allow’ to enable camera setting.
      • Return to the original browser tab or window, and refresh.
      • Go to ‘My Wallet’ on the Discover Hong Kong website and select ‘Use coupon’ to activate the camera and scan the QR code.
  14. 14. Are the Summer Triple Rewards dining coupons only valid for dine-in at restaurants?

    No, the dining coupons are valid for both dine-in and takeaway.

  15. 15. Is there a dress code at the participating restaurants?

    Individual restaurants may have specific dress code requirements. Please refer to the terms and conditions on the coupon or contact the merchant directly for details on any dress code policies.

  16. 16. Are reservations at the merchants required when using the Summer Triple Rewards coupons?

    While reservations are not strictly required, we suggest that visitors make prior reservations and inform the merchants about their intent to use the coupons. Please refer to the terms and conditions on the coupons or contact the merchants directly for any specific reservation policies.

  17. 17. Are the Summer Triple Rewards coupons transferable?

    No, the coupons are non-transferable. The registered Summer Triple Rewards holder must be present to log in to their account and scan the QR code to use the coupons. Screen captures, transfers or redemptions on behalf of others are not accepted.
