Ta Vie, situated within boutique hotel The Pottinger Hong Kong, is a three-Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant helmed by chef Hideaki Sato. The restaurant’s name has a dual meaning: it translates to ‘your life’ in French and sounds similar to the word for ‘journey’ in Japanese. Similarly, Ta Vie’s fare shares a dual identity as chef Sato draws on his experience in French culinary training to create innovative dishes using top-notch ingredients from Japan. The restaurant only has one tasting menu, which changes regularly to reflect the seasonality of ingredients. For their wine list, they have a curated selection of premium sake, umeshu, Japanese whiskies, and cocktails made in-house with seasonal ingredients.
